FAQs
Customer relationship management is a concept that is a successful business strategy in today’s market. It is a strategic process that will help companies better understand their customers’ needs and how those needs can be met whilst enhancing that company’s bottom line at the same time.
2. What is the difference between Hosted and On premise CRM
Hosted CRM simply means that anything stored in your CRM system is outsourced to our renowned partners 7global, our ASP (application service provider). This means that for all the data within your CRM system is securely locked and backed up; and all you need is an Internet connection to access the application. This translates to tremendous cost savings on both hardware and IT personnel to maintain the systems. This method of obtaining SplashCRM would primarily be aimed at the smaller scaled SMEs with around 20+ users.
- Hosted applications are charged on a per user per month basis
On premise CRM is aimed at the larger enterprises with around 40-60 users; this package allows your company to have the CRM software in a tangible way. It will installed be on your premises so you will require the infrastructure to support it. On-premise CRM, also known as ‘licensed’, ‘on-site’, or ‘in-house’ CRM, is a customer relationship management application that is housed at a client’s location on their internal servers and managed by its own employees. Although generally, internal IT personnel are made responsible for maintaining all hardware and software components Splash Solutions provide support and all services needed to get your company’s CRM up and running the way you want it to.
- On premise system here will be a larger one off payment (also depending on user amount); also with the monthly payments for the amount of emails they want.
3. What is the purpose of CRM
The idea of CRM is that it helps businesses use technology and human resources to gain insight into the behaviour of customers and the value of those customers. With SplashCRM software, a business can increase its revenues by:
- providing services and products that are exactly what your customers want
- offering better customer service
- cross selling products more effectively
- helping sales staff close deals faster
- retaining existing customers and discovering new ones
4. How long does it take to get CRM
For the hosted CRM software, the actual “out-of-the-box” product takes around 48 hours to install; and approximately another three days for a relatively high level of customisation. The on-premise package takes longer and will depend on your company’s specific requirements. Implementations can range from a matter of days to a number of months.

16. How do I know if I need CRM
Essentially any company operating a consumer centric approach to business is in need of a way of viewing all their customers’ data, as well as their business activity information to be able to make their business run more smoothly, so as well as reducing operating costs in the long run, your customers have a more than satisfied experience with your company. Satisfied customers lead to loyalty and trust being built, and it has never been so important to be able to understand the value of the relationships you have with your customers.
The system needed to allow your company to know what’s going on does not necessarily equate to CRM software; but if:
- Without your customers you would not exist
- You want to cut company costs, such as telephone bill expenditure, or fixing customer problems
- You want to be able to access all company data (on your request)
- You want to gain a truly 360ᵒ insight into business activity, efficiency and customer satisfaction
And; if you want to be able to identify market trends before your competitors
